these are funny. i'm liking how the cartoony flat rigid lines of both the bikes and their infrastructure become roger rabbit like photos. can you burn or dodge areas of pavement around the bike frame to make the gray of the bike frame pop more. not too much necessarily but a little to get maybe even a slight depth reading to the insert.
If you can, scale up the bollard a bit... It's supposed to be 11 feet tall, probably about halfway up the branched area of the trees.... I like the grey inside the hexagons too, I'm incorporating that into my photoshopped images now
thanks for the great feedback! duffer, i had the same thought about the second image - that the grey bike kind of fades into the photograph. i'll try dodging/burning - though i did this montage in illustrator. and erk, i'll scale up the bollard - i didnt realize it was that height! now i know :] and the grey in the hexagons is residual from your renderings that you posted on this here blog. i thought it would be nice to have some additional 'paint' on the ground -
